Parts of a Computer Lesson Ideas

Worksheet 1

This worksheet asks pupils to answer a set of questions about the difference between hardware and software, CPUs, RAM and ROM and binary numbers.

They can use the mini-website from the student's area to help them with the theory

 

Worksheet 2

Students are given a photograph of a computer and asked to label the main parts i.e. monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, DVD & floppy drives.

They then have to complete a short fill-in-the gaps exercise.

Good for a starter or plenary.

NOTE: The answers are contained on page 2, so you will need to pre-print out the worksheet for students.

This worksheet asks students to fill in the gaps in the text with the correct words.

Useful to check understanding and provides a permenant record for revision.
