This exercise provides students with a list of different sensors and asks them to match them up with a task

This activity asks students to order a set of instructions related to heating a swimming pool and then to include them in the correct place in the flowchart provided

This activity provides students with a set of statements. They have to decide whether the statements are more applicable to computer control or humans.

This exercise focuses on sensors.

Students are asked to think about conditions where senesors would be used.

They then need to identify whether the sensors would collect analogue or digital data.

Finally, they have to give an example of where the sensor might be used in everyday life.

This crossword is a useful task for checking students' understanding.

It could be used as a task within the lesson or as a starter/plenary activity

 

Worksheet 8

This task provides an attractively laid out sheet for students to store basic notes on this topic.

Students need to identify just the key points and record them in the clearly marked spaces.

 

Mindmaps

Mindmaps are an excellent way to condense a lot of information onto one page, and can be an invaluable aid to revision.

Students could use their textbooks or research to help them create their own mindmaps.
