Key Stage 3 ICT Assessment

NOTE:

Most of the resources below are ones that I have come across over the last few years.

They are people's own interpretation of the NC levels and this accounts for the wide difference between different resources.

Trying to find a totally comprehensive and clear explanation of the NC levels appears to be extremely difficult. Many LEA advisers are vague on the issue and it seems to be a process of using a 'best fit' approach.

Whole class assessment sheets

This document provides a page per unit with the appropriate level descriptors. It allows you to enter a complete class onto one sheet which should make life much easier when it comes to reporting on progress.

Self evaluation sheet for pupils (1)

In order to allow pupils to reflect on the work covered in a unit and as a means to support teacher judgement, pupil self-evaluation is a crucial aspect of assessment.

This is an example of a self evaluation sheet that could be given to pupils to complete at the end of a unit.

It will need to be adapted for each unit.
